CDMOD: Young Scientist @ Children's Discovery Museum of The Desert

Every Tuesday (for 2-4 year olds with adult partner), 9:15 10:00 a.m.
Walk-in or pre-register to reserve your spot.

Young Scientists taps into children’s innate curiosity about everything by using fun, age appropriate experiments to introduce basic scientific inquiry. We provide toddlers with opportunities to deepen their understanding of the world and increase their cognitive development.

Class fees: $15 child/adult partner (includes Museum admission!)
Members $10 or FREE with Toddler Time Pass

CDMOD Credit Statement: A refund is given only when The Children’s Discovery Museum of the Desert cancels the activity. CDMOD reserves the right to cancel and/or reschedule programs. Credit is not given for absences.

Little Chefs provides healthy and easy hands-on cooking experiences. Toddlers will have fun spreading, mixing, and stirring ingredients which will help them understand and apply knowledge of measuring, counting, and following directions. Inspire your toddler to be a healthy, curious, and self-confident Little Chef. Little Chefs takes place in the Discovery Lab.

Redlands Night Market @ Redlands Night Market

Located in the heart of downtown Redlands on E. State Street between Orange and Ninth Streets. Established in 1988, Redlands Market Night has established itself as one of the most successful certified farmers’ markets in Southern California. Vendors vie to participate in the event that has attracted thousands of weekly visitors since its inception. Visitors are welcomed into an inviting atmosphere complete with historic buildings, brick sidewalks, and charming shops and eclectic restaurants. Crowds are pleasantly surrounded by over 150 food, produce and merchandise booths every Thursday night.

CDMOD: Power Play @ Children's Discovery Museum of The Desert

Play Power provides your toddler opportunities to socialize with other children in a safe, warm, and enriching environment. Each Friday we offer a guided experience filled with fun, hands-on activities to teach the value of playing to learn. Play Power is a great way to get your toddler out of the house, help burn off some energy, make new friends, and play with other children. Parents and caregivers can enjoy getting to know each other over a complementary cup of coffee. Play is a powerful way for your child to learn!

Outdoor Movie Night! (FREE) @ The Olive Branch Development and Empowerment Services Inc. (Bloomington Community Center)

Come bring your family to The Olive Branch Bloomington Community Center to watch Aladdin. Bring some warm clothes, a blanket and a chair to relax outside on the green lawn. The tales of Edgar Allan Poe come alive at Ghost Walk Riverside. Riverside’s Premiere Halloween Event for 28 years and counting!

Ghost Walk Riverside is an event unlike any other! The event offers four distinctive story-telling walking tours throughout downtown Riverside. The tours range from the perfect youngster spook-fest to more daring tours for the adventurous tour-goer. The 2019 tours will each bring the tales of Edgar Allan Poe to life.

Tours are new each year and no two have ever been alike. This event has the esteemed reputation for attracting artists from various areas, making a truly exceptional collaboration. Writers, storytellers, actors, musicians, and vocalists all take part in a display of talent and walking adventure.
